Reviews around deal (5.00 of 5)

  • When adding everything required we would have spent a great deal more so we decided to search Amazon and found this one.
  • It looks like it is well made, sounds great and the bag and accessories that come with it certainly sweeten the deal.
  • Great deal for the price, has a thin tone but gets the job done.
  • Seemed like a great deal in the beginning, however a few months in, some of the screws were loose and something else bent
  • It turns out I have been having an uphill battle with the Costco clarinet as I need to press both the low E and F pretty hard at the same time to get the E to sound well or a B in the 2nd register.

  • It is a very good buy and contains everything you need if your first starting out
  • The reeds are flimsy and cheap, but the clarinet and everything else that comes with it are a good buy

  • The case is a nice size and protects the instrument nicely.
  • Caring case is easy for her to take back n forth to school along with her other books

Reviews around color (4.30 of 5)

  • This one is purple, but it is not a cheap looking color, in my opinion
  • , it was bought for a ten year oldand she loves the color.
  • It is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but when I ordered it I really thought it would be a striking white color rather than a linen white or antique white color
  • Granddaughter picked out the color and loved it - she played it all year long, practiced, took care of it
  • This is her first year in band and we felt having her own instrument in her favorite color would be great incentive

Reviews around daughter (4.30 of 5)

  • my daughter is really happy with it, from every point of view
  • my daughter loved the clarinet and the color blew her away, why spend 175-200 a yr to rent these for school kids when you can buy then for 102.00.
  • Playing against my daughters busted rental that's missing cork pads and a screw, this is priced right for how poor it sounds
  • My daughter was very excited to get her pink clarinet but once opened it was difficult to get any sound out of it.
  • Daughter loves it - not the best, but when they're young - this is what you go with until they get better and are more careful, etc.

Reviews around price (3.83 of 5)

  • My kid really liked it, got a better one for a cheaper price
  • After that, the clarinet is very stable and sounds good (at least not bad).A cheap price doesn't necessarily mean bad quality
  • The price is nice but you get what you pay for as always
  • It's was easy to pick out for my granddaughter and the price was right
  • I would never recommend this instrument or any instrument similar to this (bought online for a "CHEAP" price.

  • It is some sort of light plastic and the sound is very squeaky
  • My daughter couldn't make a sound with it--the keys fell off and the cork too.
  • She said that the Mendini I bought for him was terrible and the sound it was producing was embarrassing
  • The sound is good and the functionality is just like the rest of the other students' clarinets.

Reviews around quality (3.53 of 5)

  • The quality of this instrument is worse than better ones
  • The reeds that came with the clarinet were of very poor quality, so we just bought some different ones at the music store
  • Your child will struggle and it will cause difficulty and frustration because of the very poor quality in these models.
  • The YCL 20 model from Yamaha is made in Japan and it's very good quality
  • Unfortunately this was a bad choice because the quality was very poor and it don't work my son was very unhappy and now I am stuck with this product and don't know what to do with it

Reviews around plastic (1.00 of 5)

  • It is difficult to play any notes due to the fact that this clarinet is made from cheap plastic parts.
  • The cheap plastic made the instrument carry a different type of sound that a clarinet should not make.
  • Good price and good quality for a Clarinet that is not made of wood but hard plastic
