I would recommend one size bigger max or regular shirt size

It's a rash guard, so it sits tight to the body, but I believe the sizing to be accurate in my case

For beach wear or boating, larger sizes would be more comfortable.

Whichever of those puts you in a larger size, bump up 1 size from that.
