This was a great investment to free up oven space in my kitchen

There’s just not enough oven space to cook turkey and other dishes.

I bought this roaster to free up some oven space on Thanksgiving (2019).

I purchased it to try to see if I could use it for Thanksgiving to free up oven space

We used it to free up space in our oven for Thanksgiving and boy, was it a life saver.

This rooster does a marvelous job of roasting and baking

My wife is happy with the product so far, cooks faster, uses less power, and does a good job.

Does tend to come cook faster than a crock pot but does a good job

With the low price from amazon, this baby did the a good job

This roaster did an excellent job on my Thanksgiving turkey

Well worth the price as it allowed me to use my oven for side dishes

My only complaint is the pricing

Wife bought the roaster at a reasonable price and we gave it a shot for Thanksgiving turkey.

But other than that is a good price and seems to be a good buy

The size is perfect to what I need it for, but it has a big scratch on the bottom, looks like a big slam

Nice large size - no limitations.

Liked the overall size, the temperature control is great, it was easy to clean, disliked the lid, it has no way to fasten it down and it fits loosely.

This is a great sized roaster and I love the self-basting lid

We’ve done three dry runs with a turkey breast and 2 good sized chickens

Had my eye on this for quite some time, finally ordered and used it for the first time on Thanksgiving, cooked/roasted the turkey perfectly, turned out super moist.

This spacious roaster is easy to use and makes delicious, moist turkey with gloriously browned skin

Hands down, the best, most moist, & fastest turkey I have ever made.

On first test I discovered the outside of the unit gets hot, actually very hot.

Although all of the reviews pointing out how hot the outside gets are accurate

My only negatives are that the outside gets very hot and the removeable inner pan is a little cumbersome to clean in the sink

The WARNING for readers that NEEDS to be mentioned is how hot the outside of the oven actually gets.

Would probably not recommend a turkey bigger that 23lbs.

Unit was off by 50 degrees (good thing I checked ahead of time!), unit got way too hot on the outside...probably the same temperature as the inside!

Only thing I was very unhappy with was the delivery...lucky I have awesome neighbors and they brought over my package.

Easy to control temp, easy to clean after, can use it for warming or actual cooking.

Works great cooked a 16 LB turkey in 2 and a half hours, really easy to clean love it!

If I have to put it in the oven, I might as well cook it in there fully.

No problem holding the turkey, cooked evenly, just follow the directions and no peeking, opening the lid to check on dinner.

Easy clean up, cooked perfectly, I look forward to using it more.

I didn't like the fact that when I was cooking my first dish smoke was coming out,like if it was defected.

As soon as they hit 165 and 180 respectively (which happened at the exact same time) I took the insert pan out, tented with tin foil and waited about 15 minutes before carving...

After returning one unit for poor powder coating of the insert pan, I went thru the Oster warranty process for the 2nd one.

The insert pan, lid and interior rack cleaned up quickly

I got the new roaster pan insert in time for Thanksgiving, but it too is marginal for quality

The roaster pan comes out and can be cleaned very efficiently

It's an easy clean after removing the roaster pan and grates from unit.

I would have preferred a glass lid so you can see what’s going on, you’re pretty much cooking blind with it

We washed the lid and pan according to instructions and attempted to towel dry both pieces, but the lid's inside surface had already changed enough that it couldn't be wiped clean

The lid gets quite hot to touch - ensure you are a bit careful and have a spot to place the lid while you are extracting, etc

Shipping was fast, first time using it to roasted ham , it turn out to be a little dry, and a strong plastic smell in the beginning of roasting , but go away after 10 mins or so

We placed the roaster on a table out on the porch and as I worked in the yard the smell was amazing

While carefully washing the removable roasting pan in the sink, the outer coating broke off in one spot.

but I find this easily cleans when cooking with included rack which kept turkey from adhering to bottom of roasting pan

I take out the roasting pan periodically just to wipe down the condensation, but other than that it is a Dream!

Only complaint is that the enamel chipped off the pan in two places first time I used it and you need a big sink to wash it.

If you bump it on the granite edge it is a monsterous chip that rusts immediately

When I did clean up i found the pan had chipped in several places
