The performance is good enough that I never need Bootcamp (tried it once, didn't perform much better, and I had to reboot to load another OS).
I've worked with many different virtual machine products over the years, and this is the easiest to set up, has the best integration features, and the performance is great
The performance is absolutely amazing for this type of software
External Thunderbolt display is not supported and is causing a problem report almost every time, when it's connected or disconnected (answer from Parallels support: KB article 5136).
After several frustrating days without use of Windows on my Mac, which is not acceptable in my job, and several failed attempts at contacting Parallels support, I tried installing the Parallels Toolbox

One of the best features I think is the coherence mode that allowed me to be in the native mac looking screen but brought the VM that I was running into it.
I highly recommend Parallels as a virtualization solution – great features, user interface, capability, and (perhaps most importantly) active and regular updates.
Coherence mode is an amazing feature that lets you run applications inside a virtual machine but you interact with them as if they were running along side of native Mac apps! From time to time, I will load up some of the other products available on the market today (both commercial and open source), but they always find their way to the recycle bin.

For me, the expense of this software is worth the amount of time is saves me…there are free options, but the benefit of the Virtual Machines over Boot Camp is that it will allow you to run Windows as an additional program (without restarting your computer) and keep OS X running the entire time
It's by far the best of the virtualization options available for the Mac.
so unless I wanted to haul two laptops around this was a better option.

Excellent user interface & strongest USB compatibility of like SW packages Only improvement I can foresee is tool to translate images between Hyper-V & VMware -in both directions (save out to/translate & Convert from images of these other SW packs) this would cap the products superior status
I tried doing the same with Fusion and it drove me nuts with the effect it had on my OS.I am a proud user of Parallels Desktop for Mac and have seen their positive growth first hand
Parallels has a clean, attractive, and intuitive user interface while at the same time offers complete control over anything you might wish to control

Superb software, work wonderfully and with great support.
it doesnt tell me again i feel like your invading my privacy you guys used to be so nice now your support is terrible and when my hard drive with parallels 9 crashed you wouldnt give me another key I do not recommend this software I have moved on to other options when parallels 12 is cut from
If, like me, you really want to move to Mac but find that some of your critical software either doesn't run on Mac or doesn't run well on Mac, then this is a way to make that move
Superb software, work wonderfully and with great support.
(even though I would be buying upgrades regularly anyway I dislike subscription models because I feel like it takes away my choice as a consumer)The software and experience of using Parallels is great
Now in January 2017, there is bow a new version and my program won't even work now without buying the updated version (held hostage, it sucks!)
The new version of Parallels Desktop supports me at work and brings the two worlds together
The performance is even better then the previous version and the Tools are just great
Then I needed to turn off automatic sharing of my Mac printers with my virtual machine (or else the virtual machine will keep trying to install bogus versions of those printers that won't work because of the WiFi issue).
I highly recommend this version for anyone looking to run Windows on their Mac.
