what I think, it's a very good HMD for purposes I bought it, I don't have or want wands or touch controllers

The HMD is quite comfortable, I can wear it for 2 hours or so comfortably, that said I am using it as a basic SteamVR device

IF it works then Im a HAPPY CAMPER.

but the hardware is shockingly good

So I was looking forward to a promised better resolution, and a comfortable headset with room for eyeglasses with the Pimax

It was the best headset I could play DCS with, despite it was not real 90Hz like Oculus, the higher resolution made games more fun to play while Oculus was very unclear and I returned it after several days with no trace of regret

unfortunatly the headset i got came with a faulty earpiece, and the fact that you could not adjust the clarity or zoom level was a headache.

The entire unit is extremely cheap, terrible build quality and the software is beyond terrible.

The real problem, and the reason I rated this product so low is the impossibly frustrating software that I could not get to work properly

The software is TERRIBLE, engrish and broken - it doesn't even have a IPD slide to adjust your view, you have to do it all within with horrible software

If these guys keep improving the software at the rate they have been and keep it at this price range they could be serious contenders for the oculus and vive in a few months.

4K Cons:- Software controlled focus buried about 3 menus down (why not just a mechanical slider??)- VERY Blurry around the edges, I could see only the center 25% of the screen in focus.- PiPlay software is about the level of a beta version in my opinion.

Bad internal tracking (jittery/jumpy/floaty), ghosting, ridiculously blurry outside dead-center, uncomfortableLong Summary:Let's start with the main reason I bought it: Screendoor.

And remember, since only the dead center of your vision is clear, you'll be moving your head around A LOT.The software support is definitely lacking.

Except for a tiny region dead center, everything is blurry and there's terrible chromatic aberration

To be fair, anything sitting dead-center of your vision looks great, but the clarity significantly degrades as you turn your vision to literally anything that's not dead center.
