I like the colors and I like the durability of these sticky notes-these are not flimsy but made of strong, durable material a Sharpie or waterproof pen goes well too and writes well on them vs a regular ball point pen
The colors aren't exactly cheerful, but, hey - you can be cheerful in your note :)
Good assortment of colors, but I would prefer them in some brighter colors, too

I was hoping for a little better sticking power on unconventional materials, the sticking power is only a little better than traditional Post-it notes.
I recommend sticking to what you want it on, then write
I gave it a real good stick and it peeled off and fell to the floor within 5 minutes

They are not simple paper (like the original yellow versions) but some kind of stronger inlaid material in the notes.

but you must use a sharpie or marker, pens dont write well because of paper textur
They are fibrous and thicker than their more common counterpart, but they take ball-point pen well
I write on them with a Sharpie as they are textured, so a pen isn't as dark
The paper accepts Sharpie ink very well but many other pens don't work nearly as well
