My 14.5 viola fit the case well and my tuner fits in the outside pocket
What he loves about this: Its light, fits his 15.5" viola, rosin, cloth (it has a small compartment), fits his music books (in the outer zip pocket) and has backpack handles to wear on his back as well as a carry handle
There is a good amount of room for a music binder in the front pocket as well as in the case itself for rosin, spare strings, and a tuner
