It might sound like a good deal but , my ps3 was defective , the blue ray drive wasn't working and it wouldn't accept any discs, it's your choice if you want to buy it ,but I would think twice about it
That, to me, adds a great deal of value to this package, provided that you haven't already played the games being offered elsewhere
I know my review was late but this was the best PS3 deal at the time i got it
I definitely love it, especially the free online membership
I ordered mine after my old fat 160GB PS3 gave out, the shipment arrived fast, I was happy, after I plugged everything, I could not find the little card with redeemable code, which means I will not have the "free" membership for the year
WHERE IS THE TWO "free" GAMES AND THE 1 YEAR "free" MEMBERSHIP??!!

Okay, this is a terrific console, and I'm excited to have it, but I bought as a Christmas gift not understanding how LONG it would take to download all the bundled games from the Sony site
The console is good but the one year game collection does not have what I expected
The console itself is pretty good if not getting a bit aged
As far as the PS3 is concerned, it has ended up being my favorite console of this generation, having owned all 3, primarily because the game selection speaks to me

And finally I've ended up using the PS3s Bluray player functionality much more than expected, especially now that I own a 3D TV.And on that note, 3d gaming is amazing and I feel the PS3 has an great selection of option, even the HD remakes like Shadow of the Colossus look absolutely incredible in 3d
While she is not a huge gamer she did get me started on my way as an great gaming fan (she read the zork narrative to me when I was five and beat me at frogger about 25 times in a row)
This system is great for all of them and a Great Gaming system as well

Also most of the Smart 3D Blu Ray players don't stream Amazon Prime
I was going to buy a Smart, 3D, Blu Ray player and for basically the same cost I get more with the PS3
Pretty much a glorified Blu Ray player with a couple exclusive titles that are okay.
Top rated Blu Ray player, does 3D, all the HD codices, streams from every service I use including Amazon Prime, I can access all of our computers and stream videos and pictures, and top it

I don't want replacement, I want "famous collection bundle".
Combine that with the fact that a year's subscription to Playstation Plus costs more than any of the games I've seen bundled with the Slim and this is the best bundle

the front buttons on this model do not light up and the overall plastic seems a touch cheaper (looks like cost cutting on Sony's part).The one year PSN+ activation worked just fine, and it is a good value
What we liked about this is the year of PS+ access that includes instant and free to play games that don't suck but also other benefits all year long like game betas, discounts, special offers, etc
the free year long membership with PSplus!I'll probably end up getting most of the free games that come along with it!Setting the whole thing up was easy-peasy for me,I thought it would have been a "process"!
