Have had many comments from other high school marching bands about how natural the flute sounds with this mic (one group accused us of using a recording...)
Although we got good sound from the mic, there was little to no adjustment for the ear
I would not recommend using the little wind sock because it distorted sound a little.
I ordered this thinking that it would not have very good sound
The sound on it is very good and the fit is also excellent
Initial sound quality was great and it was a "hot" mic picking up my voice well.
After we managed to break a much more expensive mic, I decided to give this a shot 7 months ago, and for the price bought a few spares in case they didn't last very long.
The sound you can produce from this very inexpensive mic is quite good.
It seems that as soon as a voice is raised a bit the mic gets distortion.
This mic is good only for the most noncritical purposes.
This is a perfect replacement and I can go through dozens of these for the same price as the Shure!!!I would recommend this mic for speaking only and not for singing.
However, sound reproduction is not as clean as with the Shure version, though the price is hard to beat.
I will update this 5 star review if it doesn't work as
I needed to find a more cost effective replacement for our Countrymans's and Shure's
PROSSimilar enough sound quality for my purposesInexpensive (initially and future replacement)Good solid connection to wireless pack (mine is the Shure connector)Holds in place well on the earCONSLonger boom mic sits in a less ideal location than a
Very surprised how with little EQ these mics sound not bad for a high school musical
Crown-Shure- Sennheiser (nearly everything) and these mics sound just fine
The Pyle-Pro works just as well as the more expensive mics and cost us only $15 each
I bought six of these to use at my church for childrens' plays so we wouldn't have to risk our $500 countrymen mics
This has to be done extremely carefully as the metal is not that malleable and will break if bent at too sharp an angle (unlike more expensive mics such as countrymam)
My minor quibble would be length of mouth piece, which is most pronounced with kids, but can also be a problem with adults
The biggest negative for me so far is the length of Pyle-Pro earpiece/boom mic
I don't appreciate the length of the mics only because I have a lot of young actors where the excessive length makes it a challenge to place these mics discreetly on their smaller heads
