  • Good product has the bang that rattles the whole building love
  • Great product great service will buy from again highly recommended
  • With this setting, the music my clients ask for [Reggae, House, Hip Hop, R&B, Soul and Jazz] sound GREAT.
  • so I bought another one since I had 20% off coupon, it makes a big difference, I am really enjoying them with a pair of Peavey DM115, they are really loud without distortion, thanks Rockville and Peavey for making great products at affordable prices.
  • Very pleased with my rbg12s ...Makes my JBL 15 inch mains sound twice as big..excellent product

Reviews around power (5.00 of 5)

  • If you are looking for a small and quality powered subwoofer that will not break the bank, this is your subwoofer.
  • If you are in the market for a cost effective, rock solid, punchy powered subwoofer, this is DEFINITELY for you
  • I gave this subwoofer 5 stars because you will not find a better powered subwoofer for $250
  • Thank you Rockville for this amazing powered subwoofer it works perfect
  • Yes due to the subwoofer being active/powered sub with an amplifier build in you could this up to almost anything that you think (of your course if the cables are compatible).THE POWER: If you live in an apartment like I do, make sure you are friends with neighbor as the bass of this thing feels exactly like in a club

Reviews around system (5.00 of 5)

  • which makes the system you CAN SEE look very impressive when you are hearing POWERFUL classical, rap, folk, country, jazz, comedy and so on.
  • I have 2 Rockville 15 inch midst that I have paired this Sub with, and the entire systems sounds great
  • so I went with the Galaxy with it's 5" array design and have a nice sounding system for cheap
  • And the system looks fantastic for the DJ gigs that Ol'Skool performs around our neck of the woods.
  • Paired with a nice pair of tops (in my case, Peavey SP5-TIs) and you've got a great basic system

  • With this setting, the music my clients ask for [Reggae, House, Hip Hop, R&B, Soul and Jazz] sound GREAT.
  • I've used this sub at multiple venues so far, and let me say that it's 100% a good buy
  • I'm not changing my rating as it's still a great buy at $170, just get a bigger sub if you're rocking a dance floor.

  • To sum it up, I would only recommend this subwoofer only if you have a pair of entry level speakers

Reviews around price (4.61 of 5)

  • I have to say for the price and shipped free, it's an awesome value
  • Bass not as crisp as other higher priced subs, but that was to he expected.

Reviews around value (4.40 of 5)

  • Comparable and matches well with those speakers and definitely a solid value for the price
  • Good value for the money ,they do make 500 solid watts of kick ,with a lot of possiblity for changing the eq plus other settings,, yes you can buy
  • I have to say for the price and shipped free, it's an awesome value
  • It'll rumble walls but won't blow out windows (probably due more to 15" subwoofer size than lack of quality) - ultimately a fair and solid value for the price.
  • I am a little skeptical of the brand since its so cheap, but maybe they are just a great value

  • Has great sound easy to hook up, work nice with my dj setup.
  • Adds great sound when your drivers need a little more thump.
  • Has great sound easy to hook up, work nice with my dj setup.
  • I just dont like the sound of their little 2" multiple array speakers
  • Well, the Behringers are going back into the box this week due to their poor sound... but lo and behold, the budget Rockville 12" subwoofer rocks!

Reviews around end (4.26 of 5)

  • After searching the internet I found that some folks (Probably much more expensive high end QSC or Mackie speaker owners) gave these Rockvilles bad reviews without ever actually trying them
  • Two of these and a pair of 10" tops could probably support a dance floor of 80 people at a comfortable volume in a medium sized ball room, I imagine, but you might as well use an 18" if you're going to haul a pair of these, and get better low end
  • Great sub covers the low end plus easy to take to gigs fits in my car no problem.
  • legs!It wasn't only loud, it was a great sounding bottom end
  • Gave 4 stars because it is powerful, but still somewhat low end.

Reviews around thump (4.16 of 5)

  • The Thump is nice and can be increase or decreased by the volume control and X-Over control on back
  • I love the rockville brand....awesome sound bass is thumpin an the mids actually have an amazing thump as well
  • It will not give you the earth rattling, window shaking, heat pounding thump that you might be looking for

Reviews around bass (4.08 of 5)

  • I have a small dj setup and this thing is awesome clean deep bass and very loud!
  • Awesome, good quality material well built , bass is bumming clean
  • The bass is clean and it can really reach deep in those lower Hz
  • first I only bought one to go with a pair of Peavey DM115 powered speakers, the bass was there, but its not that strong, like I was missing something, you know, when your ears can hear the bass but your body not really feeling it,
  • absolutely love the loud deep bass it brings to the music

Reviews around sub (3.69 of 5)

  • Great sub for bringing some thunder, especially for small to mid sized gigs
  • this sub came damage from shipping but no problem called customer service and all is well
  • (yes, i realize that subs don't sound "loud")( but wasn't even producing 100w of sub tones.
  • they were a thousand a piece this sub is great for the money
  • For some reason the new sub is making a weird sound (frustrated) so disappointed

Reviews around quality (3.47 of 5)

  • The first one I purchased had good quality, and you can tell by the how the knobs would work
  • It's not mind blowing bass, but it's good quality and it will rattle your chest if you turn it up a little.
  • I don't give it 10/10 because the metal cover on the front isn't crazy high quality.
  • Quality of construction was impressive and the sub-woofer looks great

Reviews around speaker (3.40 of 5)

  • So if you looking for a good speaker for the price this is it and they not heavy I carry
  • Speaker was humming when I plugged in the RCA cable but the problem was a common ground loop in home electric.
  • Speaker sounds and rattles and vibrates like a car trunk
  • BUT.....if I didn't take notice of the shipping weight they were sending me the wrong speaker!
  • Which causes it to wobble and cannot mount a top speaker now.

Reviews around window (1.54 of 5)

  • Enough to rattle the windows in your house at half power
  • It goes from a solid low end to shaking the windows in volume all while keeping a clear sound
  • when it is crank up it rattled the windows and the china in the cabinet even causes my acoustic guitar to stump open cord without max volume as you can tell I am impress by this
  • This sub literally rattled the windows in my home at lessential than half power while testing it out
  • It'll rumble walls but won't blow out windows (probably due more to 15" subwoofer size than lack of quality) - ultimately a fair and solid value for the price.

Reviews around fan (1.51 of 5)

  • Also there is a loud fan noise for the first 3 minutes before it quiet down.
  • knocked it down one star just because the fan is a little loud
  • you have to use the boost, clip light flashes half way turned up, fan in my opinion is not loud, I do hear noise will check my cables running XLR.
  • 2 fans cool the amp section but they seem like cheap computer fans
  • They sound good unfortunately the small fan on both units make annoying noise till it warms up

Reviews around noise (1.33 of 5)

  • At one time I was sure I had blown the speaker because of the awful noise it was making, but it turned out to be stuff rattling on the walls making the God awful noise.
  • I went with only 4 stars because on one of the boxes the fan started making loud viberating noises after only a couple weeks.
  • My main issue is noise or hum, That's why I changed my cable setup
