For a week it was great--it let me move a lot of games and apps onto the card to free up space
Thank goodness for these babies, it gives me so much more space for movies on their tablets
Unfortunately, some features will still waste space on the internal storage, e.g. screen captures and blue tooth file transfers will NOT be saved to the memory card
but it absorbs enough to free up disk space on the Fire
I purchased this to add memory for my Kindle HD 8 because the internal memory is lacking.
I'm sure this extra memory would be good for pictures or videos but does not work for games
Thankfully it was only 20 something dollars because this is easily the worst memory stick I've ever purchased and NOT what I expected from a SanDisk product
The SanDisk Ultra is a great memory card for Amazon Fire tablet
But as mentioned, it is a great memory addition to any Fire Tablet.
Perfect data storage option for my tablet for a great price.
Mobile devices are finicky when it comes to "hot swapping" memory cards, often refusing to read the card, or even worse, damaging the card and corrupting data
It became more frequent, but luckily I did not have any issues with corrupted data, so the major issue was having to reseat the card constantly
Seems to be working as of usage and this review (April 2018)
Mobile devices are finicky when it comes to "hot swapping" memory cards, often refusing to read the card, or even worse, damaging the card and corrupting data
The device is unable to recognize that it has a card in it any longer
The devices either froze or gave up entirely.
The next day when I gave him his Fire to play none of his apps worked and it showed "checking SD for errors" - but after waiting a long time it continued with that message I took out the SD card and checked it in another device - CORRUPT
Used to add extra storage to several portable devices.
