The cooler white wine section is set for the top and the red wine section for the bottom

I moved the thermometers from the top section to the middle shelf of the bottom section, which was set to 50 F, and watched the temperature rise to an average of 51.9

It would make more sense from an energy standpoint to have the warmer zone on top (since warm air rises), but it doesn't seem to be too much of a factor with this machine

The dual temperature zones are nifty if you want to house both white and red, with the cooler and smaller zone on top

These shelves are much better

The only complaint, I wouldn’t really call it a complaint, is that the shelves inside are a bit flimsy and, although it is still very quiet, I do hear the “humming” noise when the compressor kicks in

One unintended difficulty is that I didn't realize how many of my mines are oversized just enough to make loading the shelves a problem - adjustable shelves would be a significant enhancement.

The temperature on the refrigerator side doesn’t cool down enough

You don’t have to reset the temperature after every time the power flickers off and on, which was a problem with my previous wine fridge
