Unfortunately, the Starlink ships are not nearly as well designed or manufactured.
Still, there are some slick ship designs and the ability to switch ship parts really adds something unique and tactile to set the game apart.
The Star Fox content, which is a great addition to the gameplay, and the ship, which is a better design than the others, only come in the Nintendo Switch version.

You can wander around and look at things if you want, you can find things and just ignore your mission if you choose to do
