This is mostly a good thing, in my case, since my fiddle needs the brightening up

Here are the changes after they settled in: - The A string is excellent once broken in

fast break in time, they stay in tune well

Bearing this in mind, however,the A string seems a little too bright (it was obnoxiously so at first)- which was disappointing because I purchased these "bright" strings after reading in several places that they would be a good match for my darker sounding violin

Visions are not my favorite

AFTER THEY SETTLED IN: { HOWEVER, the Visions and their Tonica competitors both have the same drawback: they're weak when playing with others

Visions are brighter and more powerful than Tonicas, while Tonicas are more moderate, with more warmth

:If you like Tonicas except you'd like something a bit brighter in the same price bracket, the Visions are worth a try

They also keep their focus and rich complex sound longer than Dominants, which tend to go dull after 2-3 months.
