my first INTERNET600U, ordered from amazon.com, arrived with a broken housing -- and amazon.com does not take returns or exchanges for any reason when it comes to a UPS (battery safety concerns, they say, which is odd considering that they have no qualms shipping it TO you)

didn't plug the computer or other accessories into it so would not deplete battery faster during outage...also works as isolator for AC power line so surges shouldn't cause problem (previously had to replace more than one "wall wort" AD adapter going to router or modem due to power problem causing it to go bad).
Within minutes, the power was off again and this battery backup--straight out of the box--was supporting my computer and both monitors without the slightest hint of power failure.
I seldom leave the computer on when I'm not working with it.
I purchased this Desktop Battery Back Up on August 23, 2016 to protect my computer and TV, a storm came on July 22, 2017 and the power went out several times
Works well but very difficult to turn off the beeping alarm on power failure
It held up during a power failure and I fit below my rolling cabinet.
Within minutes, the power was off again and this battery backup--straight out of the box--was supporting my computer and both monitors without the slightest hint of power failure.
It will show that the battery is good, and then the battery won't hold up during a power failure
Or use this one, realize you won't be protected, and after every power failure let it sit unplugged for a week to reset itself (just resetting it won't work).
This product has been great because it has a very loud beep when power has been lost and gives me time to replug without having to start over with my transfers.
Haven't experienced any annoying beeping yet - but I understand you can download software to silence it if needed
Then it turned off for no reason and continued beeping until I messed with it long enough to finally get it to stop (the instructions were no further help because it wasn't doing anything described in there).
The title sums it up, if the power goes off in the middle of the night, be prepared for shrill beeping.

I switched over from APC to Tripp Lite after so many APC units died over time so I see nothing it buying APC for reliability though their tech support was great.
Just ordered an APS unit for a little more money—can't trust the Tripp-Lite.
I am officially a die hard Tripp Lite fan.
