However, just expect the top portion inside the bag might be as pictured

I was hoping that I could store some wires securely in the top foam portion as is displayed in the photos posted for the product, but that was not the case

But the fact that the top portions foam was not laid out as shown in the images caused me to return the case

get the NI X1 case, this is just a 2 piece cutted foam with a zipper2 holes, 1 in the back to let the X1 fit in, and the other in the front to make space for knobsit does not offer the kind of protection i was specting from a "HARD CASE", this is not even hard at all (in the parts with no foam, around 60% +/-), in the knobs area u can feel the "click" made by the 4 wheels/knobs with very little pressure on it, even holding it hard enough to handle good will click, at thats way its covered by a very thin "something harder than cotton".the materials feels good, the zipper works fine and looks like its going lo last long,

As mentioned, it will fit if you do some surgery...but the unit edges will practically be against the case edges, which honestly would have been good enough for me because I was mostly looking to protect the buttons more than anything

It felt like there was more "play" inside when I took out both foam cutouts

Its a soft case, its 80$, but its adequate and well made

Also, others mention the case is not hard enough and will press against knobs and faders, and I can confirm that this is true,

It is a nice thought, and the UDG is a nice case, and UDG makes a lot of cases for other gear like the Electribe or Volca's, but just save yourself the time and money, and get the real deal.
