i would send it back but the cleverly packaged it such a way everything was destroyed trying to open it.

Was really hesitant to order this lamp for our piano light because of the cheap price

In my opinion this plastic gives a slightly cheap look to an otherwise decent quality lamp
I really like the look of it but don't appreciate the lamp for a piano light which was why I bought it
But my cord for some in explicable reason has white paint all over it. and where the metal parts secure the glass shade there are really cheap looking opaque rubber washers
I love the look of this lamp on my desk and it gives off a good amount of light.
I agree with most of the other reviews in that the bulb is very bright and only on one side of the lamp

Light bulb is way too bright, other wise it's a beautiful lamp!
From the shade having odd places it looks like the finish was rubbed off, to the shade itself sitting askew, and the metal base looking to be cheap plastic (even though it is metal).
The Plus Side:-The base is heavy and well weighted-The base has soft pads so no furniture scratches-It looks beautiful- lovely shade of green, nice brass finish-Easy to assemble
I would say this is worth paying a little extra for since the metal is much more solid and quality vs the more cheaply made ones with the "gold finish" base
The finish is cheap and looks like it was painted on by a child.
The finish on the lamp shade has multiple small defects
