  • It is very important to start your children out with very good quality reeds to give them the best shot towards success.
  • My son recomended, good quality, durability, high performance, good price, good for a great gift this holidays!!!
  • So I settled into 2.5's and these play nicely, with good tone and the quality is pretty consistent from reed to reed

Reviews around sound (3.86 of 5)

  • I bought these on the recommendation that they provide a better sound for more intimate settings (cafes, lounges, smaller rooms)
  • and I was very pleased with the dark and subtle sound I received from this style
  • A sweet sound for concert band that can also work for big band if needed

Reviews around box (3.44 of 5)

  • These reeds didn't come in the humidity sealed package, the box was too dark of a green, they didn't have the serial number on each reed (Older vandorens and sample vandorens from the sample pack don't have this, but still), the logo on the bottom was stamped on instead of branded in, and the wood was grey in some areas on the butt of the reed
  • This box seems a little 'green" but the reeds still work fine after a little break in.
  • Seriously a great box of jazz reeds ,but i highly recommend the standard blue box for classical
