and it's difficult to wet the little cleaning pads - the Spin Clean system where you fill the entire basin is a lot more practical (I plan on buying Spin Clean fluid
I decided to use the Studebaker system the way the Spin Clean is used by adding 24 ounces of distilled water in the basin and pouring the cleaning fluid over the two pads
I'll likely upgrade to the Spin Clean fluid when it runs out.
Works best, as suggested by another reviewer, by filling the container with distilled water and a good record cleaning solution (I chose the Spin Clean Wash Fluid), and spinning the records between the pads.
Just toss the included instructions, fluid and towels and pick up the spin clean fluid, distilled water and some microfiber towels.
I think it is a good product, time will tell how durable it is.
I use the SpinClean to clean the records initially and use the Studenbaker as a rinse for the vinyl, therefore I add no cleaning product, just the distilled water.
Overall, this is a great product, and it proved itself by removing all the crud, crackles and noise left behind on the record not cleaned by the failed, expensive cleaner
I have used this to clean several hundred albums and will continue to use it for hundreds more
Yes worked great clean over 150 albums the day I receive it well worth the money if you have hundreds of albums like me invest in one
After initially purchasing a $400 record cleaner that didn't work because it arrived faulty (which I only discovered when it failed to clean the only album I tried and, in fact, left it in worse condition
Yes worked great clean over 150 albums the day I receive it well worth the money if you have hundreds of albums like me invest in one
This album cleaning system made the job simple getting all my albums back to the great condition they were in before the damage.
However, I actually have to grab the album with my finger tips and a fine cloth to spin the album as its a tight fit between the cleaning pads
The system has a plastic reservoir but suggests you simply wet the cleaning pads with fluid from the small bottle they've included, then insert and turn the record.
It was cumbersome to use and with the soft pads, I ended up wasting a lot of the cleanser

The biggest problem I experienced was with the cleaning pads themselves
I decided to use the Studebaker system the way the Spin Clean is used by adding 24 ounces of distilled water in the basin and pouring the cleaning fluid over the two pads
By golly, it worked!I would like to try the actual Spin Clean liquid, but I've had great success both before and after buying this using Dawn dish soap to clean my records
With all of that said, this thing cleaned my records extremely well using the spinclean fluid
I cleaned 15 thrift store records using the Spin Clean method

defeats the the part of touching the lp works good but low end by the better model with motor clean !!!
This works well, has cleaned 50 records so far, improves the quality of my thrift shop purchases significantly
after a lot of research, and almost pulling on the $1000 vacuum,i built my own Vacuum, but the mechanical brush was rational to buy someone elses ALMOST perfect design with brushes that an Actually be REPLACED,with a tub that is ACTUALLY RIGID to get the whole TRACK brushed.you will want something to help SPIN from the middle, and keep the Label DRY.theres another OVER price $1.50 of plastic for about $80bucks that has a great clamp that works PERFECT in
Basically, the unit works but, as other reviews have mentioned, the top rollers are liable to pop out and the thin rubber washers do move around a bit as you clean the vinyl - hence the four stars
get it,buy 1,better buy 2. if your lucky to be able to buy NEW RECORDS,this will dry/clean NEW well
For ($45) you have something that will last as long and work as well as the spin-clean for almost half the price but is much nicer and cooler looking than the DMV yellow spinclean.
The brushes will go bad on this one as well
The spin-clean brushes and rollers will work in this one as well

The instructions are shoddy and make no reference to adding distilled water
This might be the recommended method but the instructions are super vague so who knows
Rollers to hold the record in place were missing on arrival, anemic instructions
