I gave it two stars because the handle feels really good in my hand and it would be very safe for a first grader (think safety scissors).

Great opening letters and mail, if that's what you're only using it for

Tough, ergonomically designed letter opener; the best I have ever been exposed to.
My first was a beautiful silver letter opener with a thin blade and a sharp tip.
By far the best envelope opener of its kind because it has an actual "edge" to it
I been looking or a perfect letter opener since I only have one hand is perfect.
Works great with business sized envelopes that my smaller opener has trouble with.

The blade fell out of the handle while trying to open the 10th envelope
