This system used in addition to a strop, yields some impressive results.
I just finished sharpening several knives ranging from small paring to a long, narrow fillet to a large kitchen knife and the results were excellent.
I have tried numerous knife sharpeners and stones and have had fairly good results with some of them, however the biggest problem has been being able to determine the edge angle and reproduce iteach time I sharpen a knife.
This system is pretty easy to use and can achieve results that will surpass a factory edge - just read the manual and ensure the instructions are followed.
The knife sharpener is good, and if you dont mine a convex edge it is a very useable knife sharpening system
Overall an excellent system that seems well made and a super deal at the price!
A word of caution, this system is very easy to use and produces RAZOR SHARP knives

The sharpener works great, just wish they'd have built the receiver part of the base out of some kind of alloy
I am a big fan of the Lansky sharpening system and still am but for sharpening knives at home, the Work Sharp Knife Sharpener is faster, easier, and more efficient
The Lansky will stay in my field pack but for home use, the Work Sharp kicks butt.
Really happy with it, only thing to improve is for work sharp to release more stones !

if you want a decent sharpening job done.....buy something else.
Did a lousy job on all of them
But it’s really close and it does a really good job of sharpening a knife.
None of them did a very good job on that hard vanadium blade
None of them did a good enough job and I finally stopped carrying the TTI and started carrying a Charge AL with a 154CM blade that was much quicker and easier to sharpen
