I wound up also needing to purchase Yamaha's bluetooth Midi adapter (MD-BT01) for using my CLP-585 with Midi apps, and it's proven much more useful than the UD-WL01 since it's more readily recognized by third-party midi apps and much easier to set up for use (basically, you plug the MD-BT01 in to your midi input/output and go).

Navigating through the menu system on a digital piano to set it up will probably be daunting for those not accustomed to that sort of thing, and still a bit of a pain for those who are
