The stuff seems a bit "creamier" than other oils and liquid creams, (which is probably why it seems to last longer & have smoother action) but I never need to use a bone bottle - even after the stuff has been on for several days - it just stays moist & slick

It's a good idea before you use it, to use a cleaning rod wrapped in a strip of cheeze cloth or T-shirt - to get what you formerly used out of the outer slides, to get the best slide action

But this Yamaha stuff is kind of gloppy and stringy and really clings to the slide tubes in a way that creates a smoother action that lasts better.

With Yamaha slide oil, you will experience worry free slide action and long lasting performance.

I have an older Conn, and I was thinking about replacing it, because the action on the slide was not great.

It's nothing like the cheap slide oils that come with beginning trombones.

I'm not entirely sure it's any better, but it does seem to last a little longer and not end up gumming up my slide as bad as slide-o-mix tends to do.

It's not like slide o mix with the two bottles
