As an electrical engineer I'm sickened by how Apple gouges millions of people by selling specially made sync cords when a cheap power cord is all a customer needs

we lost the original cord and had to replace the cord which didn't help

However the charger and charging cord both did not work (I tried both parts with a working charger and cord
