That hardest part about buying RAM is making sure the right RAM is chosen as there are so many variations.

I also saw evidence of the bad RAM with the shared video, after a few minutes you would start to see lines and stripes where the bad RAM was affecting the display and it would get progressively worse until the machine would kernel panic.

The computer was sent into a kernel panic, restarted, beeped (letting the user know the RAM has been rejected), then the main hard drive was corrupted beyond repair.

I bought the correct RAM on Amazon from Cruicial after looking at Cruicial's website.

If it is bad you will know it by doing these tests, but most the time the ram is fine...as RAM is one of the most robust components in a system and as such long lasting
