Sony SEL24240 FE 24-240mm f/3.5-6.3 OSS Zoom Lens for Mirrorless Cameras

    • Another reviewer here mentioned that shooting in A, S, or M mode in low light will be fine, but don't expect fast focusing in low light in Auto or P mode.
    • Wish SOny would have made a more compact, brighter, faster focusing zoom
    • My biggest complaint is the slow focus and sometimes no focus.
    • The focus and zoom are rather stiff, but that doesn't seem to bother me either
    • ... you do expect fast focusing with the money but it alo may be me as well.
    • Very nice Pictures and the focusing is very easy
    • I was shooting a bird walking along the shoreline (not in flight) and lost a few shots because the focus was too slow
    • It's a lens to be considered for a fast Auto focus from early morning till twilight
    • I've enjoyed the 4K and 1080p 120fps this lens has helped delivered, and while I have noticed it is difficult to avoid a soft focus from a distance at times, overall it hasn't been bad at all as some claim
    • Depending on your skills, the incredible "Focus Peaking" mode of the camera will allow you to manually focus on a subject when there is a minimum amount of lumen/lights available
    • On top of that, it's counter-intuitive focus direction is opposite what I'm used to shooting with Tamron lenses
    • I think the overall focusing on the Sony A7Sii is imperfect and needs improvement, and when testing it with autofocus on, I had minor issues with it keeping up
