Another reviewer here mentioned that shooting in A, S, or M mode in low light will be fine, but don't expect fast focusing in low light in Auto or P mode.

My biggest complaint is the slow focus and sometimes no focus.

The focus and zoom are rather stiff, but that doesn't seem to bother me either

I was shooting a bird walking along the shoreline (not in flight) and lost a few shots because the focus was too slow

It's a lens to be considered for a fast Auto focus from early morning till twilight

I've enjoyed the 4K and 1080p 120fps this lens has helped delivered, and while I have noticed it is difficult to avoid a soft focus from a distance at times, overall it hasn't been bad at all as some claim

Depending on your skills, the incredible "Focus Peaking" mode of the camera will allow you to manually focus on a subject when there is a minimum amount of lumen/lights available

On top of that, it's counter-intuitive focus direction is opposite what I'm used to shooting with Tamron lenses

I think the overall focusing on the Sony A7Sii is imperfect and needs improvement, and when testing it with autofocus on, I had minor issues with it keeping up
