If you are looking for a cheap recorder for a kid, this should foot the bill.

Well, I might not love the recorder so much as the little person for whom it was purchased is a beginner.

Cons, (which I only mention because I also bought a Yamaha YRS-302B Soprano Recorder, which cost about $15 more), this recorder, like all soprano recorders, tends to sound a bit like a whistle, while the the 30-series mentioned above, sounds slightly less like a whistle, more like an instrument
