The speakers oddly enough still can go to great volumes without distorting/clipping

The speakers are good for the price, but I wanted a litter higher quality sound so bought separate speakers to plug in and am very happy

but I thought it would with better speakers.

Connected to a decent Onkyo system and speakers there is virtually no bass

If I wanted a turntable so I could play new records and hook up to good speakers, maybe for a party, I would: expect to spend quite a bit more money than this, get something with a clear lid that covers the record as it plays, and never, ever get something with built-in speakersI also think there is something you have to expect in exchange for the true sound of this type of recording.

but after reading several reviews, I decided on 1ByOne and was pleasantly surprised by how loud the speakers are.

Definitely needs external speakers for good sound and would benefit from a lever to lift the arm.

We tried playing it through 3 different external speakers as well as through headphones.
