It seems to get good reception, good emergency radio for less than $20.

I ended up buying two more - can't have too many reliable emergency supplies

I'm guessing the emergency channels don't broadcast a signal unless there's an actual emergency because the tuner worked and had a little green light that says it was tuned but no sound
