It is a softer rubber/plastic case so it should absorb the shock from dropping your phone well

Between April through October (6 months) the inner hard plastic brittle part has disintegrated to the point of useless

The case feels softer than I expected though, both in the soft outer shell and the hard plastic

It was held together by the soft rubber sheathing part, but pulling that off for cleaning only damaged the hard plastic even more, to the point it was impossible to put back on.

The only major downside is that the hard plastic shell does tend to crack over time and use (which is good in that your phone doesn't), which is only important inasmuch as you cannot replace *just* the shell

Only problem I have is that the hard plastic covering around the 3.5mm headphone jack and volume rockers is cracked, and starting to come apart, but the rubber covering keeps it in place

Battery is a battery, the case on the other hand is hard plastic with very little flex

first thing I noticed was that the outside cover was more like a hard plastic didn't seem very shock absorbent at all so I bought a tempered glass case and the inside plastic that goes round the phone kinda seemed well
