Ice will last for a day, I don't want to drink cold drinks out of anything else now.

I also use it for ice-water in the car for the kids and it's great for both hot and cold drinks

I can fill it with ice and water first thing in the morning and still have chunks of ice and very cold drink that evening

I think this could be due to the fact that there is no seal on the lid allowing for air to get in and warm the drink up

It did not come with anything to plug the hole so that the drinks would stay hot or colder longer which is a disappointment.
