it doesn't control the wii menu well, but if you start smash bros, make sure the wiimote is player 1, plug in the receiver when it calls for a classic controller, turn on the controller and sync, it will work!

Something I was wondering when I ordered this was if it worked as a classic controller for the Wii/Wiiu.

Tried plugging it into a wiimote and sure enough it took my SN30 Pro as a classic controller

Able to use my switch pro controller right out the package no issues!

And no more crappy Wii classic controller

Once the package arrived I immediately tore into it and put it into the snes, it doesn't click in like the SNES classic controllers, but then again you're not going to be pulling on it

I've been using this 8bitdo wireless receiver paired with a Wiimote + SNES Classic controller for a few months now

Others recommend Wii pro controllers without issue.

Receiver came with firmware 1.07 and I updated that to 1.10PS4 controller worked well with the snes classic, and tried out games like Super Mario and Yoshi Island

Used the receiver for the nes classic with a ps3 controller worked like a charm

I'm using it with the snes classic controller hooked into a wiimote for wireless functionality and it works flawlessly

I love my NES classic, but the included controller is useless with the ridiculously short cable

Will be looking for a reliable 2.4 ghz controller.
