The rounded conical top cover also makes unplugging power cords much easier
-
It doesn't look like the clear cover is removable (thus why I was looking elsewhere for a switch), but you just have to pop it off
-
The cover on top is nice, so you can accidentally turn the whole thing off.
-
As they apparently have received reviews of people not being able to turn on the device, they now include a bright yellow slip that explains that you need to remove the clear plastic cover to access to the on/off button.
-
But the plastic covering over the on and off button is clunky.
-
The cover over the power switch is a little difficult to remove; I leave mine off as I am not worried about anyone accidentally bumping it to OFF
-
It also has a (removable, optional) clear plastic cover, so you can still see the on/off status of the switch, but avoid accidentally hitting the power button and turning off your systems
-
I personally like the cover over the on/off switch as it prevents someone from accidentally turning the strip off.
-
You have to remove the plastic clear cover and push the blue button.
-
love the cover over the on and off switch
-
The clear cover at the top is removable and the power button is under that
-
Really, it needs a protective cover like the nuclear launch button
-
The button on top is a pain to access; the clear cover isn't hinged or anything
-
The blue light, actually a switch, was covered by a clear plastic cap that had to be removed before the switch could be depressed
-
The lighted on/off switch on the top of the unit is protected by a clear plastic dome, which requires some effort to remove (in my opinion, a tight cover is preferable to one that could fall off easily)
-
I did however find a review that described the clear plastic shipping cover over the power button on the top center of this unit
-
The cover makes it difficult to turn off accidentally
-
The clear cover you see in the picture is secured only by a pressure fit and serves as a protective cover for the on/off switch in order to prevent accidentally switching the unit on/off
-
so I could plug in a Kill-o-watt at a nice angle for viewing
