Unusual shape - as others have stated, to turn it off requires opening the top plastic shield to the glowing blue on/off switch

It doesn't get turned off easily (because of the top plastic shield)

The middle button feels cheap, and the whole thing is lightweight and looks like cheap plastic.

You have to remove the plastic clear cover and push the blue button.

To prevent the switch from getting accidentally depressed there is a little clear plastic cone that fits over the top

I agree that the top plastic cap is hard to remove but at least it won't fall off easily and get lost ;-)

I was glad to read the reviews to know how to switch on the unit by removing the top plastic cap and pushing the blue button

I did however find a review that described the clear plastic shipping cover over the power button on the top center of this unit

There is a clear plastic cap on

The blue light, actually a switch, was covered by a clear plastic cap that had to be removed before the switch could be depressed

As they apparently have received reviews of people not being able to turn on the device, they now include a bright yellow slip that explains that you need to remove the clear plastic cover to access to the on/off button.

I wish the cord was a little longer, and I'm not too sure what the deal is with the clear plastic

The clear plastic cap on top was a little hard to remove, since you need to push the blue switch on top to turn it on.

As stated in other reviews, if there is no power to the unit remove clear plastic casing over the top and press down on the blue hued button

You got to pop the top plastic dome off with a knife and press the blue button

I was convinced this thing was faulty for the longest time until I knocked the plastic off (it's pretty firm on there).

It also has a (removable, optional) clear plastic cover, so you can still see the on/off status of the switch, but avoid accidentally hitting the power button and turning off your systems

Upon further inspection, you have to pry open the top clear plastic dome and click the small blue button to turn it on.

While getting ready to leave a bad review I spotted one that said before you return it as broken, "pry off the clear plastic dome" and amazing, it works fine and it's now been several months of steady use

and I use nearly every port on it all the time (even the two USB charging ports).Just in case anyone struggles with this, the clear plastic on the top pops

The product is packaged in a horrible plastic clamshell casing that is difficult to open

The lighted on/off switch on the top of the unit is protected by a clear plastic dome, which requires some effort to remove (in my opinion, a tight cover is preferable to one that could fall off easily)

It would have been nice had the manufacturer added 2 simple things:a) an indention somewhere on the clear plastic dome to help signify that it's supposed to come offb) put an ON/OFF label near the button, or the symbols

Found out that on the top, there is a blue button covered by clear plastic cap

This piece of sh*t broke down w/ 4 plugs in in less than couple of weeks

they work great - i like the round design
