Thankfully, if you know what you're doing, you can enable a nice blur-reducing system called "Light Boost" on this monitor to increase response times and reduce motion blur to old CRT levels.
-
I love the addition of light boost, which can be used to reduce motion blur, giving a nice crisp image
-
Lot of motion blur
-
There was less judder, less motion blur, and everything moved with a much more heightened sense of realism; even smoothing the image out enough to the point where I ended up turning off motion blur in the vast majority of my titles.
-
Before I did so, the motion blur was so bad it made me sick while gaming
-
It's best to use this monitor with lightboost at 120 hz for gaming because it has a horrible motion blur issue at 144 hz
-
While 144hz is a huge, and awesome, jump from 60hz for gamers especially, I disliked the amount of motion blur it seemed to come with it
-
You can test it out with 'testufo dot com' -- notice how there is no motion blur with the high frame rate
-
n’t take advantage of the free sync.
