I used the Mini2 with a Samsung Smart TV, a 60"~2012 model and Tmobile Galaxy S7

With free direct tv I can watch on a big screen at work

I tried it on two other tv's that are not smart tv's and it worked great

If it doesn't work try turning off the TV first, press the reset button on the side of the dongle and turn the TV back on.

Ever so slight lag but streams from phone to TV just fine

It would see the TV but either fail in attempting to connect or drop the connection within seconds of establishing it

I had it plugged into a brand new Sony 4K Bravia smart tv, and was trying to mirror my laptop -- HP Envy, Windows 10.

Its not a problem for me because i just watch live sporting events on the smart tv

But now I can enjoy the bedroom tv with no internet and no smart tv capabilities

Oh yes, the TV we are using is not a smart TV so as long as it has an HDMI input, you should be fine to use this device as TV compatibility is not an issue.

Very happy...hooked up my galaxy s7 instantly, simple...used it on my smart tv and with an hdmi/composite adapter in my car and another older tv...all worked great.
