I have an existing Actiontec router from Verizon FiOS and had a 'dead zone' in 2 bedrooms.

I simply connected the coax to the cable outlet, using a splitter to connect it to the cable box, and suddenly Wifi just worked in an area that was a complete dead zone.

We had a dead zone 2 floors up from the router...and now we don't.

But alas, there was always dead zones in the middle of the house in the kitchen/family room as there were too many hallways between bedrooms and garage

I plugged this, enabled MoCA on my gateway, and I suddenly had wifi in my bedroom that previously was a complete dead-zone

By this time I am just frustrated as this is the like the 4th things I have tried in getting wi-fi to my dead zones which is likle half my upstairs area.

My existing cable modem had MOCA built-in, so all I had to do was hook it up to the coax outlet in my dead zone

I moved the Extender into a wifi dead-zone in my house, plugged it into the wall coax jack -- BOOM.
