Now the battery life is much greater (so much so that I haven't had the time to see what the maximum battery life is, but it is at least greater than seven hours of continuous usage)

Battery life has been excellent - I maybe charge once a week and use them for maybe 5 hours of commuting time.

They don't leak as much sound as I would have expected and actually can produce a pretty robust range of sound.
