My battery would not hold a charge and died on August 13th.

Put the battery in, still did not work

It has excellent battery life that lasts for days, reception here in North Central Massachusetts is excellent, even out here in the boonies, and the WIFI range is fantastic, compared to my wife's Iphone 5

My biggest annoyance with it was that the alarms would not turn off on their own and tanked the battery.

This works out great as I can drain the Alcatel battery at home and take the Lumia with me on the go with a full or close to full battery.

The phone turns off by pressing and holding a button on top of the phone, yet the phone miraculously turns itself on while resting in my purse and drains the battery

Letting the GPS, Gmail, facebook, compass, and camera running will suck the battery down in a day. leaving them off will allow the phone to run for days on a single charge

After I charged the battery, in the middle of the screen indicated 97% charged, yet the battery icon in upper right corner indicated a dead battery

A point to note is that the battery is user replaceable which can cost over 100 dollars plus shipping if you buy a phone that is NOT user replaceable so buyer look at what you are getting

The only thing I do not like about this is the apps, drains the battery within 6-7 hours.

It also dynamically adjusts its brightness and has very good battery life compared to my old Galaxy Centura.

Only the internal memory can be used so you are limited as to what apps you can download due to internal memory only
