Reviews around bass boost (5.00 of 5)

  • I don't use the Bass Boost feature - sounds muddy to me
  • I bought these to produce music with and was tired of using crumby pc speakers with no bass, these have a ton of bass without the bass boost on
  • You have a bass boost button for more and you really feel the difference
  • PROS: excellent sound, bass boost, quiet in down time, plug and play with a pcCONS: the USB connection sometimes clicks or makes little clipping noises when browsing the internet or dealing with compression.
  • There is a bass boost switch on the back of the control monitor if you want to use it, but if you are producing tracks you may want to turn that off as it unbalances your mix

  • I already love Alesis products anyway so this just added to the
  • Even many professionals are using this product (evidently based upon all the positive reviews I’ve seen on Youtube) because not only is it simplified for armature producers like myself but producers on all levels obviously know and can appreciate a great product when they hear one.

Reviews around set (5.00 of 5)

  • With that being said, I would absolutely recommend this to anyone in the market for a great set of professional studio monitors and argue that it also happens to be the best for less currently available!
  • It was a great set up, but was too bulky for my desk.

  • All in, they are great value for money and they do what they say on the box

Reviews around price (5.00 of 5)

  • Excellent for production, if you can find at the right price.
  • They are what they are, and that's smooth and relatively clean, uncolored and honest sounding, with clear highs, rich mids, appreciable lows (please DO remember that these are 30W 2-way speakers, with only a 5" woofer) and with minimal noise - there is very faint hiss/hum that are pretty much imperceptible at normal listening distance, far less for when music is actually being played, all for what I believe to be a very, very good price

Reviews around monitor (4.37 of 5)

  • Hopefully if all else fails they will still work as plain active monitors...
  • only concern was when I unpackaged the speakers after getting them delivered to find the center cone on the bass speaker of the right monitor had gotten pushed-in from the careless handling of
  • If you're using a set of computer speakers or something of that caliber, and you're looking for a first set of monitors to allow you to start making proper mixes, these monitors are worth looking into
  • Hopefully if all else fails they will still work as plain active monitors...
  • To my relief, the right monitor was NOT compromised by the "concavity" of the center cone and the sound is just super, no distortion or any noise!!!!!Marv

Reviews around speaker (3.75 of 5)

  • I purchased these not for any studio work, but as nicer desktop speakers for general music listening.
  • These speakers sound amazing, set-up easily, and look really nice
  • and we heard about this and decided to give it a try till we can get more powerful speakers and since I plugged this in and set
  • Let me start by saying I'm not an audiophile but from a layperson's point of view, these are great speakers.
  • These little speakers really do pack a punch

Reviews around quality (3.22 of 5)

  • so we decided to get studio monitors so that we could hear our work with better quality and also have a studio
  • Producing my music (drum 'n' bass, [...]) is much, much easier; sound quality is like night and day compared to the Logitecs I was using.
  • these speakers have good sound quality but the usb interface will not work with any of my mac computers (macbook pros with osx 10.6) - The speakers make the laptop volume stay at the maximum level, but will also randomly fluctuate.
  • Additionally, the supplied XLR is cheap quality and began ripping apart after a month.
  • Still need to use them more to get through the "break in" period, but all in all, excellent quality that doesn't break the bank!!!

Reviews around time (2.54 of 5)

  • Again, I had a hard time going back and forth trying to find a real delta in sound with the G2's, and honestly couldn't.
  • PROS: excellent sound, bass boost, quiet in down time, plug and play with a pcCONS: the USB connection sometimes clicks or makes little clipping noises when browsing the internet or dealing with compression.
