Picture and operational functions are very good.: but taking the back off of the remote to insert the batteries is so difficult it ruins the fun of using the device

I just checked them with a volt meter and all 4 of the them were at 1.55 volts, minimum, which is a good battery in my book

I replaced with good Energizer batteries, but all the acids that leaked from the Amazon batteries pretty much destroyed the remote.

Like many others, I am frustrated by the frequent battery swaps necessary and the lack of any warning message on tv or led indicator on remote when the battery low, leaving you wondering of the fire box is freezing or If your remote is dead

I would buy a third party remote or a different E-TV setup like apple or Roku.
