Alfred’s Teach Yourself to Play Ukulele, Complete Starter Pack

    • For the money, it's a great beginner instrument.
    • Easy to start, excellent instrument
    • ; it is not a tough instrument to learn.
    • Since I am not an expert, I can see why serious musicians may not like this instrument
    • Just because its for beginners and you'll likely upgrade doesn't make it a bad instrument at all.
    • but if you want a better instrument buy a more expensive one
    • Its a very solid instrument and takes my abuse fairly
    • I borrowed a complete set from my local library + it was much a much better instrument + bag
    • I'm sure money can buy you a better instrument, but it sounds great to
    • It's a great starter package, and a good quality instrument for someone who wants to learn to play
    • It's paper thin and wouldn't protect the instrument more than a plastic grocery bag
    • I got my $30 worth of answer out of the deal and bought a better ukulele (Oscar Schmidt OU5 Concert Ukulele to be specific) because this instrument is just not very good
    • I've never experienced this with any other instrument, cheap or expensive
    • If she continues playing it I'll go for a much nicer, more expensive instrument, but this will still be handy for taking to school, etc
    • Still, it's a totally useable instrument, and it got me started on an enjoyable little musical hobby
    • Nice instrument.
    • Instrument looks like a toy; really small + flimsy
    • A terrible instrument for beginners
    • It's a cute little instrument but rather than rely on the book to teach my 14 year old we have signed up for formal lessons
    • but this is a great instrument to get your feet wet
    • It's fine but it gets out of tune very easy (its a sensitive instrument anyways but this brand is NOT FIRE
    • Absolutely great little instrument
    • horrible instrument
    • I do not know anything about music and I have already become to understand and play this great little instrument....
    • You have to "break in" an instrument before it starts to really work
    • It is a very nice beginners instrument
    • Instrument looks like a toy; really small + flimsy
    • But a nice little instrument for a beginner, or for taking camping! The book was unexpectedly high quality
    • I like the ukulele fine as a starter, but since it's apparent that I'm going to stay interested in it, I'm already planning on buying a better instrument
    • It seems to be a good starter instrument, though I'm hardly an expert
    • I am ordering a better instrument and going to buy more books.
    • He said the the cost would equal the original cost and still might not produce a good instrument.
    • If she continues playing it I'll go for a much nicer, more expensive instrument, but this will still be handy for taking to school, etc
    • I understand it's a cheap instrument, but I thought it would at least be good to learn how to play the ukulele.
    • This is a nice quality instrument for a beginner.
    • The instrument itself seems very cheap
    • As to the uke, believe it or not, a plastic-and-laminate Makala Dolphin though it looks like a toy, is an excellent instrument and when set up with Aquila Strings sounds amazing
    • The instrument handles nicely (easy to tune and the strings are nice for beginners)
    • Not the highest quality, but a great starter instrument with a good price
    • But the main instrument is very disappointing.
    • Perfect little instrument and hobby.
    • It is a very Nice instrument and he was very pleased with it.
    • Aquilas are made of a nylon that makes a loud, rich sound and they are known for bringing out the sound of even poorer quality instruments
    • All in all I would say this was a decent purchase, I think I would have benefited from buying a nicer instrument and forgoing the instructional materials since I've learned everything from you tube videos,
    • but if you're serious about wanting to play the uke I would invest in a better quality instrument
    • I love the dark wood finish on the uke, and the whiteness of the aquilla strings totally sets the ukulele off as an exquisite, fine crafted, instrument, that sounds great!
    • the instrument is not that great of quality.
    • It is a very nice instrument for the price and seems well-made
    • As it is, I think that this ukulele is perfect for someone who wants to pick up this fun little instrument for a cheap price
    • The instrument broke one hour after it came out of the box Christmas morning.
    • We've enjoyed the instrument
    • It plays, you can learn on it, there isn't anything specifically wrong with it, its just a less expensive instrument
    • Great instrument
    • I wish the ukeleles were offered in different colors but the instrument is still very nice
    • and he was amazed at it, music has been in my family for over a 100 years, his dad was a great guitarist we lost him 5 months ago, so i showed my grandson the Alfred and asked him if he could learn to play it, and of course he said yes, and to my shock he has made some very good sounds come out of it, like my grandpa told me its not the instrument you hold alone, its the instrument that holds it, i had not played much myself in last 25 years wrote a bit, got my sons started playing
    • This is a really nice little instrument.
    • It's definitely on the cheaper end of quality, but it's a fantastic beginners instrument
    • This uke is a great beginner instrument
    • doesn't sound like an instrument sounds like a toy I should have spent a little more for a quality product
    • This is such a cute little instrument, my daughter loves it and the sound is good.
    • I'm hoping it will be a good transitional instrument to the guitar.
    • , well I still think it would be cool to learn but not on this.
