Or you can buy a better quality string that costs around $9.00 for a set.

Though those cheaper strings were ok, a little research told me that aquilla strings plus having a good ukulele tuner were going to be just what this ukulele needed to sound it's best.

This may sound stupid, but it'll save you a ton of time in the long run because once you've broken in both sets, you can change strings quickly when you need to and not have to go through the whole process again; the "new" set will stay in tune much better because you've already stretched 'em out
