Alice: Madness Returns - Playstation 3

    • For the amount of content you are getting and the TLC that the developers put into their Wonderland, Alice: Madness Returns is definitely worth its asking price
    • Anyone who loves Alice and needs a different viewpoint on the series should not hesitate to pick up this game.
    • The sequences in London as Alice begins to break from reality are wonderfully bleak
    • The fairly-cool "jump-float" maneuver that Alice has is so sensitive that unless you execute it flawlessly, 50% of the time (for me) it doesn't work
    • The Game is super fun but the DLC American Mcgee's Alice is kinda hard
    • Madness Returns is an action adventure title based on the classic Alice in Wonderland story
    • Levels are too long and should have been cut in half while adding more variety, no bosses, ho-hum music, the original Alice that is included is sadly nearly unplayable without a keyboard and mouse, the DLC dresses could have easily have been unlockables, mediocre replayabilityIt's a good buy or a great rental as you could probably finish it in a week or so.
    • If bought NEW FREE downloadable copy of American McGee's Alice & cheap add on weapons and dresses.
    • I liked how in the older game you could battle Wonderland characters, but here they were just there to encourage/hinder Alice
    • Alice screams as she
    • For buyers of the retail copy, the original American McGee's Alice is available to download through a code included (Or available for $10 through PSN or XBL, if you purchased the game used)Rating7.7I enjoyed my time in Wonderland much more than I thought I would.
    • Alice: Madness Returns had a very interesting beginning, but rapidly degenerated into endless leaping and jumping.
    • but I am so very happy that this Alice is darker than the "original"
    • I have this game for the PS3, and really I had gotten it for my sister who loves Alice in Wonderland and all the different versions of the story and games (I like them
    • American McGee's Alice is a rare gem on the PC
    • Fun take on Alice in Wonderland.
    • The true excitement comes when many enemies take on Alice at once, and you must decide between standing your ground and dodging like mad, or running and gunning
    • OMG, it's so perfect for mad Alice fans like myself.
    • OMG, it's so perfect for mad Alice fans like myself.
    • I also enjoyed the first game, American Magee's Alice.
    • She is a huge Alice in Wonderland fan, and loves this game.
    • It's a very warped take on Alice in Wonderland
    • Alice is seldom static herself as her outfits are changing as often as the background
    • In addition to her weapons, Alice also has access to a mechanical rabbit that acts as a distraction for enemies that explodes when they attack it, a bomb to destroy walls, and something to hold a switch down
    • i have always been an avid alice lover...movies, books, clothes, and now games
    • I have always loved Alice in
    • Even Alice herself could have been vastly improved by have the use of spells or something comparable to a skill tree of some sort
    • Bought this game like 2 weeks after it came out on sale at Kmart and my girlfriend who is picky with games but LOVES anything Alice couldn't resist playing this game.
    • Alice is also quite nimble.
    • To catch you up on the story, Alice's family has been burned in their house, and Alice has to battle if she killed her family
    • If the game were shorter and more refined it would be more enjoyable but the mere promise of seeing another beautifully designed environment will carry anyone who appreciates Alice's excellent design through the experience.
    • Alice's hair will glitch or you will get an odd fade-in/fade-out quite often
    • Occasionally, the camera would pan in the midst of a move and make it extremely hard to figure out what way I was going, therefore the enemy would cut Alice.
    • I liked how in the older game you could battle Wonderland characters, but here they were just there to encourage/hinder Alice
    • I really enjoy Alice
    • So if you liked Alice from 11 yrs ago then this sequel is for you
    • If you enjoyed American McGee's Alice back in the day, this sequel will not disappoint.
    • The mechanical rabbit is often used to hold down switches or sliding platforms (the rabbit only lasts about 15 seconds), allowing Alice to quickly travel to the next location before it explodes
    • Odd glitches - this is just a nitpick, but there were some odd things going on every once in awhile, like Alice's hair jumping during a cutscene
    • When expired, Alice's form morphs into a cluster of butterflies flying away.
    • However, despite all this and things being almost a little too intuitive I still thoroughly enjoyed Alice: Madness Returns.
    • Thankfully, these weapons do lend themselves to creativity as well: for example, a timed explosive Alice can drop on the map can also be used to distract opponents, and Alice has the ability to occasionally deflect an incoming attack and bounce it back at the enemy.
    • lol, I bought the Voodoo3 3dfx PCI 16MB with a month's long salary, lol!I loved that game, as the story was really new to the time, since the fact that Alice was mad and was fighting her way in Wonderland in order to get cured was really good
    • SoundThe voice acting in Alice: Madness Returns is excellent, which makes Alice's story so much more believable and helps you form an attachment to Alice's circumstances.
    • Alice: the Mad Returns may try your patience, but if you're into the gameplay, can be fun also.
    • a darker Alice fighting in the maze and an evil looking castle far in the distance
    • Story wise, Alice is good but not great
    • I highly recommend the first game also, "American McGee's: Alice"
    • Alice: MR completely dispels any notion of what I have seen described as "controller-smashing frustration" during it's 3D platforming sections with what is probably the most frequent check
    • In combat, Alice gains a small number of weapons that can be utilized in several ways
    • I ordered this game because I love alice in wonderland and it was the best decision ever.
    • The Mature rating is quite well-deserved, although I believe that the cover would do well-enough to dissuade any parent who would ever think that this is a whimsical take on the Alice story worthy of an 8-year old
    • I finished the game twice and always laughed every time I thought of the nonsense of a Mad Alice
    • they had to do you so very wrong Alice'
    • Throw in a fairly decent storyline, and DLC outfits and weapons, you have yourself a strong title worth the price of admission.**NOTE: New Copies of Alice: Madness Returns will should include a code to give you American McGee's Alice free of charge!**NOTE: Texture pop-in problems also have been occurring on the 360 version.
    • I recommend it for those who like Alice in wonderland and who like to get creeped out buy games.
    • Falling off platforms into bottomless pits or dangerous liquids do not damage Alice but restart her at a nearby platform
    • Falling off platforms into bottomless pits or dangerous liquids do not damage Alice but restart her at a nearby platform
    • I would suggest this game, especially if you love Alice in Wonderland
    • Now that it is under $20, if you enjoyed the first "Alice", check this one out
    • In combat, Alice gains a small number of weapons that can be utilized in several ways
    • This is a fun, dark and twisted take on Alice in Wonderland
    • Not smooth as it should be.
    • I have been away on deployment with the military for a little while and she has been somewhat bored as of
    • Call it what you will, but I attribute it to the fragmented mind of Alice herself; there is too much in this game that looks so good as to fault the programmers for areas (especially London) where it's seemingly lifeless and devoid of rich textures.
    • it was great good condition and everything it played fine never skipped or froze i was completely satisfied with this game
