I like being entertained with a good story and gameplay

It doesnt matter if you havent played the first game although when you buy this game you will get a code to download the first game and with TROPHIES ;D. Alice Madness Returns is a beautiful game, the gameplay is awesome, the enviroments one of the best ive ever seen in a videogame

The gameplay is difficult without being impossible or having to constantly interrupt gameplay to check a guide (something I've never been a fan of) unless you want 100% completion

The graphics and concept are second to none in my opinion but would have liked a more free roaming gameplay

There are other upgrades, to be sure, including weapons (similar to the God of War scheme except that you're using teeth, not red orbs).The gameplay is fun throughout and although hack-and-slash might help you with the first couple of nemeses that you encounter, you will eventually find others that will force you to adopt different tactics.
