I miss the convenience of a remote to be able to go on to the next song but for the money it is a very nice little unit and it will be no problem in packing for travel.

Technically the Altec Lansing INMOTION speakers are portable, but they are a little larger than the average portable unit, and much larger than my Sony portables.
