Why would other brands work and not the Amazon

Just as well as the high end brands

I would still recommend a better named brand

The unit cost of these when I purchased was basically $0.25/disk, which is much better than what you can get at Best Buy or Walmart, and the quality is just as good as the major brands that I have purchased (and better than some).

Other Brands do not raise theirs.so with the above being said,id rather purchase a more expensive DVD-r from a reputable brand then deal with price increases and the stuff all over the blank disc anyday.

Write speed has never been important to me, but on the same settings that I use, they burn as quickly as any other brand I have used in the past.

I was in the market for DVDS (+R's or -R's, it didn't matter) and I was disappointed that my favorite brand I never had issues with (with hundreds of DVDs and CDs,,, "TDK") had gone up in price from my local store.

I used 500+ of these DVD+R discs in 2010 and 2011 and they worked as well as the other inexpensive brands I use (2000/year).

But different brands burned before and after this CD played fine

over half did not work never buying off brand again.

For the price you can not beat them just as good as leading name brands just wish amazon whould lower their price to meet for the free shipping because if you order a 100 spool of their blank media you have to add a 5 dollar item in order to get free shipping I would order alot more of them if it were not for this matter...

Great value, seem to work just as good as other dvd brands that are higher priced.

I though it was my old DVD player that was not reading them, but then I bought another brand of blank DVDs (Memorex) and they worked perfectly

This is the third (I think) batch of these I have purchased and they work as well as any other brand I have ever used.

I have used mine so far with music,files, and pics and they hold up just as good as any other brand I have used in the past

I liked that I didn't have to slice open some clear clamshell to get to the package, and what was inside was just as nice as more-famous brands

So many other brands have issues with disc not finishing because the coating on the disc is light in areas making the recording stop.
