    AmazonBasics 4.7 GB 16x DVD-R (100-Pack Spindle)

    • I am not going to go into a long drawn out review of each one , I only want to say the best burners can have issues burning the best CD's - DVD's and if you are constantly ending up with coasters / toast and Frisbee s 10 to
    • The issue is people buying pre built computers from the store, and they come with cheap burners
    • had to take out the optical drive from an old laptop to get these to work at all, if your burner is not compatible these will make you very angry
    • After reading some of the negative reviews, it seems that either the quality of the media has improved or that the people reporting multiple coasters have issues with their burning software, burner, memory allocation and/or speed on their PC any of which can cause the buffer underuns that lead to coasters
    • If you have a "finicky" DVD burner of any type (including a Humax) then I HIGHLY recommend that you try these
    • so I have had first hand experience burning brand name media on what was considered a top of the line burner only to find out the burner was to blame
    • The first few discs (about a half a dozen) were ok, but after that they just vibrate and the burner on my MacBook makes a horrible grinding noise from the very thin, flimsy discs as they vibrate
    • then that's a major sign your burner is failing
    • My Memorex burner has worked flawlessly with Verbatim, Memorex, Maxell and Sony discs in the past BTW
    • Bought these because of the price - I won't do that again; about 20-30 percent of the discs were bad and the rest caused my burner to make a terrible noise while writing.
    • They rattled my burner and computer terribly.
    • Well I don't know what kind of crappy DVD burner they are using, but I have only gotten 2 coasters in over 300 of these DVD+R's
    • In other words, if you have a DVD burner that supports a transfer rate of 32X and you are burning your files onto a 16X blank DVD, the maximum speed your burner will be able to use is 16X, even though though your burner is capable of burning at a faster rate.

    • They are not balanced well, and cause your burner to hum, whine and wobble
    • A DVD can only burn as fast as your DVD burner will burn.
    • They rattled my burner and computer terribly.
    • external USB burner, an older desktop with a older slower DVD burner, as well as a (cant remember the company
    • If your buffering is slower, or the burner is burning slower, and you see your buffer bad not as strong / fast as the first
    • I am using the default HP BD/DVD drive that came in my laptop, so no fancy burner is being used either

    • I have been using these AmazonBasics DVD+R (as well as their DVD-R) for years
    • There isn't much to say about these except it is blank DVD-R media that works exactly as expected
    • Other Brands do not raise theirs.so with the above being said,id rather purchase a more expensive DVD-r from a reputable brand then deal with price increases and the stuff all over the blank disc anyday.
