Not bad for cheap discs.

My view of these discs reflects the rest of the 5-star reviews on the site.. they work fine for me and out of 3 spindles i've yet to face a bad disc

These discs are worthless

i've thrown away about 5 discs...and have burned about 7 discs

I have used these to burn many different files and have had almost no bad discs.

This happened every time I used my Memorex burner, but I didn't want to waste discs trying to figure out the "perfect" parameters to make these discs work with that drive

I have a multi-disc burner that burns at 16x for large batches (50-80 usually) and the failure rate with these is 1-2 for every batch which is much better than my experience with other brands.

I have never had bad luck with the TDKs (dying burners, and one power outage not with-standing... not the disc's fault).

I was burning some full discs of family videos when I started noticing issues.

Before these I have used Memorex, Sony and TDK discs and can only think of 2 bad discs out of over the 1000 I have used

While higher speed recording saves time and generally results in great discs, slower speed recordings may give you your best chance for a higher quality disc, with lower error rates.

They show up as AML-003-001 discs, which have their fans and detractors, but I've burned a few and had no problems.

There are several other reviews that cite poor quality; my suggestion to them is to check the function of their DVD burner; poor mechanical condition of the burner can make it very 'picky' and increase the number of bad discs encountered.

Disc failure rate seems to be better than average,BUTWhen you pick up the spindle by the clear top piece (the only way to pick them up off a flat surface) the parts separate, the bottom falls off, and the discs scatter.

But this time, out of the first 25 discs, 4 were coasters (bad discs).

The same equipment - burning discs with a MacBook, playing them in the car - has worked fine with other CD-R's in the past.
