    AmazonBasics 4.7 GB 16x DVD-R (100-Pack Spindle)

    • These are good for what I paid for them I had about a dozen bad discs in the 100 I bought but the rest were
    • I've burned about a dozen of these mostly for data backup
    • After a dozen or so absolutely useless burns I found that either the disk was good for nothing more than a coaster or I must have gotten a bad batch
    • I've already burned over a dozen of them at the maximum write speed with 0 coasters (failed writes)
    • I now own about a dozen unreliable discs and most of a full $20 spindle of discs that don't even make good coasters.
    • Since I just retried a dozen burns using Verbatim 97460 16x DVD-R media on the same computer/software/speed with perfect performance, I'd say these blanks objectively suck, at least using a BenQ DVD drive.
    • I have tried five AmazonBasics DVDs, and none of them play on my Wal-Mart cheap-o Magnavox DVD player (model DP100MW8).
